What is the Cape Cod and Islands Library Association?
CCILA is an organization of library professionals, paraprofessionals, library aides, trustees, volunteers, friends, and others committed to fostering cooperation among libraries, safeguarding intellectual freedom, and promoting access to information for all residents of Cape Cod and the Islands as well as scholars and others interested in topics with a Cape and Islands connection
The scope of CCILA membership includes public, school, and academic libraries as well as special libraries: health science and hospital libraries, historical associations, and natural history organizations.
The association encourages professional growth, provides avenues for sharing common concerns, advocates for the interests of libraries.

What types of membership are offered?
- INDIVIDUAL - Extends membership privileges to any individual affiliated with or interested in libraries of the Cape or Islands. Retired librarians, volunteers and members of boards of trustees are welcomed.
- INSTITUTIONAL - Extends voting membership privileges to all persons affiliated with any of the libraries of the Cape or Islands.
